It took Orange Theory until her ninth start of 2024 to get her first victory of the season, but when she struck Saturday at Canada’s Century Downs, it turned out to be one of her best career performances.
The 6-year-old daughter of First Dude was ridden by Rafael Zenteno Jr., who sent her to the lead in the race at 7 1/2 furlongs and she never gave it up, winning by 2 1/2 lengths in 1:34.10, and receiving an Equibase ‘E’ speed figure of 88, one of the highest of her 46-race career. She has posted a record of 7-4-8 in that time, and the $6,381 in U. S. dollars she collected boosted her lifetime total to $116,545. She paid $21.70.
