Four in a Row in Canada for Conrado

There seems to be no stopping Conrado.

The 4-year-old First Dude gelding made it four straight victories since June 28 with a narrow score in an $8,000 allowance race at Grand Prairie in Western Canada. With regular rider Juan Apango aboard, the $9,000 OBS October yearling came from behind in a race at six furlongs and was up by a head at the wire, clocked in 1:12.31. Competing in the land of meager purses, Conrado has rolled up an impressive record – 8-8-2 in 28 starts, but his bank account totals just $72,208, which includes the $3,110 in U. S. funds for his latest victory.

Conrado, who was bred by Joe Arboritanza, paid $5.40 and received his best ever Equibase ‘E’ speed figure – a 101. In his 12 starts this year, he’s posted an eye-opening record of 6-5-0.
