BAHAMIAN MOON – The 6-year-old mare bred by Good Beginnings Farm became the third runner by her sire to surpass the $200,000 mark in career earnings. Ridden by talented newcomer Madeline Rowland, Bahamian Moon shot to the lead on the Tapeta track and continued on to a half-length score, passing the markers in :22.70, :45.56 and :57.33. She paid $8 after finishing the 5 1/2 furlongs in 1:03.63, just a second and two-fifths off the track record for the distance.
Bahamian Moon raised her record to 8-9-1 in 27 starts, and she’s a stellar 4-3-0 in her last nine. The check for $19,600 boosted her lifetime total to $204,239. Double Diamond’s Running Memories leads the stallion’s money list with $291,660 in the bank, with Bahamian Girl second at $208,201.
TAINO HOUSE – The 6-year-old gelding, another Dizney-bred, stalked the early pace in fourth while chasing swift fractions of :21.97, :44.97 and :56.98, before uncorking a strong stretch run under Aldo Arboleda that resulted in a nearly two-length score. It marked his fourth victory and was accomplished in 1:03.33 for 5 1/2 furlongs.
