What are the odds?

    At the June 2021 OBS Sale, Impacto didn’t reach his reserve and wound up as a $14,000 RNA. Ironically, at Tampa Bay Downs in his first 2025 start, the now 6-year-old gelding by First Dude won for the seventh time, and the reward was $14,000.

    Veteran Daniel Centeno was aboard for victory No. 7, which increased his career record to 7-2–2 in 17 starts.  As a slight 6/5 favorite, he was away second in the six-furlong race, went after the leader as they neared the turn, then proved best in the drive, winning by two lengths over Cinco de Mo, who was also 6/5. It was 6 1/2 lengths back to third. Impacto paid $4.40, and the $14,000 check lifted his total to $114,136. He was clocked in an a speedy 1:09.61, and was claimed out of the race.
