Time to Cruise moved up to 23rd place on First Dude’s $200,000 list with a sharp (almost) wire-to-wire performance at Parx Racing on Tuesday.

    With Mychel Sanchez aboard, the 4-year-old gelding bred in Pennsylvania by Tom and Lori Fackler (Best A Luck Farm), took the lead going to the first quarter in the race at a mile and 70 yards and was never threatened the rest of the way, winning by 3 1/4 lengths. He raced the distance in 1:43.87, paid $6.40 and received an excellent Equibase ‘E’ speed figure of 97. 

    The winner’s check of $26,880 boosted Time to Cruise’s lifetime earnings to $251,851 on a record of 5-5-5 in 24 starts. It was the first victory of 2024 for the $40,000 Timonium May 2-year-old, although he had been second twice and third three times.
