Foggy Note Can Clearly See the Finish Line

The triumvirate of trainer Ron Spatz, breeder SCF Inc. and former Gulfstream and Hialeah Park attorney David Romanik is at it again.

This time it’s with the 4-year-old filly Foggy Note, who made a 5 1/2-furlong come-from-behind test on the Tapeta surface at Gulfstream her second victory in her last three starts. With Drayden Van Dyke aboard, the lightly-raced daughter of Bahamian Squall was off last, remained there down the backstretch five or six lengths from the lead, then swung six wide for the stretch run and rolled past 5/2 favorite Omo Ten Girl to score by 1 1/2 widening lengths. She was clocked in 1:04.52 and paid $9.

Bred by Belinda Kitos at her Southern Cross Farm, Foggy Note has run up a record of 3-2-0 in six starts, and the check for $16,800 for her latest lifted her earnings to $64,390.
