Baha Secret beat the deadline by three days and became the 18th winner for Bahamian Squall in 2023.
The 3-year-old filly bred by Southern Cross Farm came from off the pace under Paco Lopez in her career debut over a muddy track at Gulfstream Park, winning by a neck in 1:13.41 for the six furlongs. She paid $15.40 and earned a check of $13,500 for the partnership of Southern Cross, trainer Ron Spatz and attorney David Romanik.
Bahamian Squall also had two out-of-country winners, 6-year-old Takhi in Singapore and 5-year-old My Uncle Titan at Camarero Race Track in Puerto Rico.
