After Conrado missed by a head of winning his second race of 2023 on Aug. 15 at Presque Isle Downs, trainer Marcus Vitali wasted no time sending the son of First Dude gelding back 13 days later in a race at 1 1/16 miles over the all-weather track.  

    The 3-year-old gelding responded with a sharp wire-to-wire effort under Gaddiel Martinez, winning by 4 1/4 lengths in 1:45.66 and receiving his best Equibase speed figure to date, a 76. Conrado paid $10.20 and collected a check for $7,800. raising his total to $28,536 on a record of 2-2-1 in 14 starts.
