When Ray Arewethereyet was entered in the Keeneland November Horses of Racing Age sale in 2022, she was four years old, and hadn’t won a race since Aug. 13 of 2021 at Monmouth Park. She sported a record of 3-1-2 in 10 starts with earnings of $119,400.
Temple Rushton purchased the daughter of First Dude for $8,000 and shipped her cross country, and she’s since made three starts for the owner/trainer at Fonner Park resulting in a first, second and third, and yesterday, another victory in a $14,500 allowance race at Arapahoe Park at odds of 1/5.
With Adrian Ramos aboard, Ray Arewethereyet sat fourth early in the race at 5 1/2 furlongs, went after the leaders after a half in :45.42, and was all out to win in the final jumps by a length in 1:05.14. The $8,700 winner’s check raised her career total to $138,116, of which $18,716 has come since her purchase.
