Despite a strong final-week surge, which saw Raydar Control win at Tampa Bay Downs on the 24th, Crown Jak score at Camarero on the 27th, and Survival Rose getting up for a nose victory in a 4-horse photo at Parx on Monday, Bahamian Squall fell just short of the million-dollar mark in 2024 progeny earnings with a total of $998,567. 

    Survival Rose capped off the year in a 6 1/2-furlong race over a sloppy track with Angel Castillo aboard, leaving from the tough No. 11 post. The just-turned 4-year-old filly came from way back with an eye-catching late run to win on the last jump, clocked in 1:23.34. She paid $27.40 and earned a check for $12,600, boosting her career bank account to $68,975 on a record of 3-2-6 in 23 starts.
