Foggy Note Wins for Streaking Bahamian Squall

Over the years, the partnership of trainer Ron Spatz, attorney David Romanik and Ocala’s SCF Inc. (Southern Cross Farm – Dr. Robert and Belinda Kitos) has combined for many successes in South Florida. The triumvirate added another winner yesterday when Foggy Note won the third race at Gulfstream Park, a 5-furlong test over the Tapeta course.

The 4-year-old Bahamian Squall filly sat just off the pace with Miguel Vasquez aboard, hugged the rail on the turn and swung into the two path for the stretch run. The filly bred by SCF sprinted to the wire and held off two late challenges to win by half a length. Clocked in :56.80, Foggy Note paid $5 and became her streaking sire’s 11th winner of 2024, collecting a check for $21,700. She’s 2-2-0 in four starts with earnings of $47,180.

The partnership also campaigns Baha Secret, another 4-year-old Bahamian Squall filly with a first, second and third to her credit in four starts.
